Customer Reviews about Sumner Veterinary Hospital
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Each staff member was compassionate and professional. My dog had to have emergency surgery, so I was very emotional. I appreciated the fact that my options were explained well and I was not pressured during my decision process. Our dog received excellent quality care. I am truly grateful!November 10, 2017by Julia kaas
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪They are a 24 hour animal hospital, and the only one in the area. That's about the only good thing they have going for them. My dog was unable to walk and was defecating herself. We brought here here on a Saturday about 7pm. It was about an hour before they got her in to see the vet, a few hours before they called us into an exam room to talk about things, and several more hours before the had completed the exams. All in all, we were there for 9 1/2 hours and had a bill of just under $1000 all for them to give her some anti-inflammatory pills and some mild pain killers. They had us sitting in an exam room for several hours without any contact which was boring and frustrating as we had no idea what was going on. Prices for services were never discussed, and we felt sort of forced into a few of the things we agreed to. The vet initially seemed like he cared, but when I started to question why we needed more and more services, we never saw him again, and they finally hurried us out. It was as if they figured they could not get more money out of us, so they didn't need us there anymore. During the visit, a lady had come in saying she had a 200 pound rottweiler in her truck that had been hit by a car. They told her to go wait by her car and they would come with a gurney to get the dog. She came in about an hour later asking in they were coming, and they said they were on the way. Finally probably another 45 minutes later, they went out to help. If there were ANY other close by options for immediate vet assistance, I would take it in a heartbeat. These people only seem to care about the money you can provide and not really about what is good for the animal. Two weeks after our "visit", I needed to get hold of the pharmacy to refill my dogs prescriptions. I have left 2 messages as nobody ever answers the phone, but have yet to receive a reply. I work a weird shift which is why I was trying to go here, but apparently I will need to take time to go somewhere else and see what they can do.July 25, 2017by Derek Jeffries
